Description/Story:

He was moving, feeling his body in motion but not sensing his feet touching the ground. His condition was like that of someone floating in the air, which made him quickly open his eyes, which had been closed. His gaze fell upon her face. He felt something unfamiliar, something that had never touched his heart before, in a place no one had ever reached. He stared at her, wanting to memorize every detail of her appearance all at once, but he couldn't. It was as if he was looking at her but not truly seeing her. He wished she would look at him—however he managed to peer into her eyes, yet she avoided his gaze. This made him open his mouth, intending to speak to her, hoping that God would make her glance at him, even if just once, even for a single second, no matter what.

But to his astonishment, instead of hearing his voice come from his mouth as usual when he spoke, he heard a cry emerge—a cry carrying the sound of an infant.

In shock, he lowered his eyes to his body, and at that moment, he understood why he felt as though he was floating in the air, why he felt like he was walking but not stepping on the ground. Was he a baby? Was he being cradled in the arms of this woman who had touched his heart? Then, at that moment, he realized—was he dreaming?

He was dreaming of his mother, something he had never done since he was in this world. This face he was looking at but couldn’t truly see—it was his mother’s face. This made him struggle again, gathering all his strength to speak to her, to get her to look at him. But his effort ended in nothing but the helpless cry of a baby.

Without looking at him, she placed her hand on him, gently rocking him with the intention of soothing him. Her face carried an expression that seemed to him like fear, panic, and worry—but there was no love on her face, not even a trace.
