Description/Story:

The weather was cold everywhere, and the wind was blowing fiercely. The town of Banduwa is a blessed town with abundant rainfall, as Allah has provided them with food and livelihoods. Wherever you look, you’ll see people selling goods—some on foot, some in vehicles, and others on bicycles. There are both wealthy elites and the poor in the town. What will amaze you is that no matter where you look, everyone is busy with their own work.

As the evening approached and darkness began to fall, people started closing their shops. Some hurriedly covered their goods, rushing as the rain began to pour. Some were even running...

Meanwhile, on the side of the road, I saw a young girl in her school uniform—a top and skirt—with her bag hanging. She couldn’t have been more than nine years old, crying as she walked. From her appearance, she was drenched. Suddenly, she burst into loud sobs. Her shoes were torn, and she struggled to hold onto her school bag. She stopped, removed her broken shoe, and then continued crying, calling out, "Mama! Mama!" It was truly heartbreaking to see her running and crying until she finally reached home...

When Mama heard her daughter’s cries, her heart sank. She hurriedly asked, "What happened, Husna? In this rain? How many times have I warned you not to walk in the rain? Look how swollen your feet are—did someone step on you?"

Husna’s cries grew louder as she said, "Please be patient, Mama. The teacher said… unless I bring the term’s fees, I should go home…"

Mama’s body turned cold, her face filled with worry. She had only a thousand naira left, and by evening, it would all be gone. "Let me go and beg your teachers for more time…"

Husna’s cries intensified. "Mama, apart from the money, this thousand naira won’t be enough…"

"Don’t worry, Husna. I didn’t even think about paying the fees today because of the rain. Let me go and plead with your teachers again…"

"Alright, Mama." They took the path to the school, and on their way, they met Husna’s aunt, who said, "Your daughter ran into me on my way here!"

She greeted, "Good afternoon, Mama. Has Husna told you? By God, these school fees are becoming too harsh…"

"Yes, my daughter, that’s why I came to seek your help. By which week can I bring the money? This world is so hard—Allah alone has given me this child since her father died. If I don’t…"
