The car had parked in the compound, and as soon as it came to a stop, Hajiya and Muhammad stepped out, visibly worried. He got out of the car and immediately ordered that the girl in the boys' quarters be brought out.  

Without hesitation, the security men carried her out as he had instructed. Hajiya, and even Muhammad, were stunned by the foul odor emanating from her. And just like that, they took her inside.  

Jummai and Asabe, the housemaids, were called by Hajiya after they arrived. She said, "Quickly, prepare bathwater for the men to wash, and for the women to bathe. Make sure you thoroughly wash every part of her body before she comes out."  

They responded promptly and went to carry out her instructions. She then glanced at Muhammad, whose face was completely devoid of light, and said, "Muhammad, let me go and check on her. I won’t be long before I return."  

"Mummy, this smell could be harmful to you. Honestly, the driver should take her straight to the hospital. There’s a serious problem here," he said anxiously.  

"Don’t worry, let me check on her first. Nothing will happen to me," she replied before turning to follow Jummai.  

At that moment, Muhammad caught sight of his father smiling faintly and looking somewhat displeased. "Hello, Daddy," he greeted.  

His father smiled and said, "Well, my son, how was the journey? And how is Hajiya’s health?"  

"The journey was fine, Alhamdulillah. Hajiya has also recovered well."  

After that, they engaged in light conversation while waiting for Hajiya to come out so they could decide whether to take the sick girl to a hospital or not.  

When Hajiya entered the toilet, she was nearly overwhelmed by the sight of the girl’s deteriorating condition.  

She quickly prepared warm water, added Dettol, and began washing the affected area. "Oh my God, this wound is severe—there’s even some greenish discharge. This is the source of the smell."  

Hajiya started washing the wound, and the intense pain made Zahra scream out, causing her to jerk suddenly.  

Meanwhile, Daddy and Muhammad headed toward the boys' quarters, but as they were about to enter, Jummai stopped them at the entrance, informing them that the girl was being bathed.  

Hajiya spent nearly an hour changing the water and cleaning Zahra’s wound, all while the girl cried out in pain, calling on Allah’s name.  

Eventually, the terrible smell began to fade, but the sick girl was still weak. Hajiya dressed her in a long gown, and they carried her to the room Hajiya had set aside for treating the household’s sick. It was fully equipped.  

They laid her on the bed, and Hajiya began cleaning all the injured areas caused by the car accident. After ensuring everything was clean, she opened her medical bag, brought out a doctor’s flashlight, and examined her carefully. Her compassion was evident—this wasn’t her field of expertise, so she couldn’t fully understand the problem.  

She turned off the flashlight and covered her. Then Jummai brought her food, and though she ate like someone with no appetite, she managed to finish it and drank some water.  

Hajiya gave her medicine and made her comfortable, staying by her side like a guardian. Her kindness touched Hajiya’s heart—such a young girl enduring such a traumatic experience. If her relatives were around, they would think she had gone mad.  

Later, she returned to Muhammad and Alhaji and said worriedly, "Alhaji, I’ve done what I can, but the girl has a problem with her private parts. I think we should take her to Hammad Hospital. They have better facilities there, and since it specializes in women’s health, she’ll receive better care."  

"What kind of Hammad Hospital? What can they do for her that my son Muhammad can’t? Or do you doubt his expertise? Are you saying we should take her somewhere else when we have everything here at home?" Alhaji replied, glancing at Muhammad.  

"Mummy, I’ll examine her properly, Insha Allah. I won’t fail. Whatever they would do for her at that hospital, I will do, Insha Allah," Muhammad said.
